The Digital Paperweight

Certified stabilization for a window that was never falling.

What We Do

The Digital Paperweight lets you drag a certified virtual stone onto your browser window, applying downward force and bringing its trembling to an immediate, measurable stop.

The window was never actually going anywhere. It cannot scroll off the screen, blow away, or drift into another tab. What changes when you place a stone is the paperwork, and the paperwork changes completely.

Methodology

Each placement resets your Instability Index to a number close to zero and issues a Stabilization Certificate recording the stone's material, applied weight, and downward force, down to a tenth of a kilogram the Bureau did not actually measure.

The Bureau's models show that this stability is reliable, exact, and finite in duration — typically a few seconds, after which Display Gravity resumes exerting the same nonexistent force it was exerting before, and your window begins trembling again.

On Duration

Every certificate includes a stability duration. These estimates are accurate. The window will, in fact, remain exactly as stable as it would have been without a stone — the Bureau simply prefers to measure this in tenths of seconds and call it a diminishing return, for tone.

Legal

The Digital Paperweight is provided for entertainment purposes only. Instability points, stone weights, and stabilization certificates have no bearing on the actual physical stability of any window, browser, or desk, virtual or otherwise.
